Remote Retrieval
You can call your MFC from any touch tone telephone or fax
machine, then use the Remot e Access Code and remote comm ands
to retrieve fax messages. Be sure to cut out the Remote Retrieval
Access Card on the last page and keep it with you at all times.
Using your Remote Access Code

Dial your fax number from a te lephone or another fax machine
using touch tone.

When your MFC answers, immedi ately enter your Remote
Access Code (3 digit s followed by ).

The MFC signals if it has received fax messages:
1 long beep — Fax messages
No beeps — No messages

The MFC gives two short beep s to tell you to enter a com mand.
The MFC will hang up if you wait longer than 30 seconds to
enter a command. The MFC will beep three times, if you enter
an invalid command.

Press 90 to reset the MFC when you’ve finished.

Hang up.
If your MFC is set to Manual mode and you want to use the
remote retrieval features, you can access your MFC by waiting
about 2 minutes after it st arts ringing, and then enterin g the
Remote Access Code within 30 seconds.
