Using a cordless external ha ndset
If your cordless telephone is connected to the EXT. jack on the MFC
and you typically carry the cordless handset elsewhe re, it is easier to
answer calls during the Ring Delay. If you let the MFC answer first,
you will have to go to the MFC so you can press Hook to transfer the
call to the cordless handset.
Changing the remote c odes
Remote Codes might not work with some telephone systems. The
preset Fax Receive Code is 51. The preset Telephone Answer
Code is #51.

Enter the new Fax Receive Code.

If you are always disconne cted when accessing your externa l
TAD remotely, try changing the Fax Receive Code and
Telephone Answer Code to an other three-digit code (such as
### and 999).
