Starting to sewOnce you are ready to start sewing, you can start the
sewing machine. Sewing can be started and stopped
using the operation button (Start/stop button) or
the foot controller. For details on the foot controller,
refer to next page.

zWhen the foot controller is plugged in,
(Start/stop button) cannot be used to start
sewing.
■Using the operation button
Sewing can be started and stopped using the
operation button (Start/stop button).
aSlide the sewing speed controller to the left or
right to select the desired sewing speed.
Slide the sewing speed controller to the left to
sew at a slower speed, or slide the speed
controller to the right to sew at a faster speed.

XThe machine starts sewing.
Memo
zThe machine will sew at a slow speed at the
beginning of sewing.
zIf you press and hold the (Start/stop
button) while sewing, the machine will sew
at a slow speed. If you use this function at
the point just before the position where you
want to stop the machine, you can stop the
machine with more precision.
cWhen the end of the stitching is reached, press
(Start/stop button) once.
XThe machine stops sewing with the needle
lowered (in the fabric).
dCut the threads.

Note
zThis machine will automatically stop when
the bobbin becomes almost empty. When
the machine stops, replace the bobbin
thread, and then press (Start/stop button)
to begin sewing again.
