2.Click 4-54. The Special Database Filter window, Figure 4-15, will appear with the following fields:

Destination Address (six-byte hexadecimal field)

Source Address (six-byte hexadecimal field)

Type (two-byte hexadecimal field)

Data Offset (decimal field)

Data Mask (64-byte hexadecimal data mask)

3.If you are editing an existing filter, the fields will reflect the current configuration. A filter that has not yet been defined will have wildcards in every field.

If you want to completely reconfigure an existing filter, click on

. This

will revert all the fields to all xx’s.

 

4.Highlight the field which you want to define, and enter the appropriate information.

5. When you have finished defining the filter, click on . This will save the filter you created and return you to the Special Filter Database window, where the configured filter will be displayed.

NOTE

If you do not wish to save what you have entered in the Special Database Filter Window, click on the Cancel button. This will cancel what you have entered into this window and return you to the Ethernet Special Filter Database window.
