The Status Window opens automatically in the following cases:

When you print with the Microsoft Windows Printing System-unless you previously turned off the Display Printer Status While Printing option (see

zpage 2-18).

When the Microsoft Windows Printing System encounters an alert that requires your intervention before you continue printing (see page 2-17).

The Status Window always opens the way you left it last, either full size or as an icon that indicates the general condition of the printer (printing, idle, and so on).

When you install the Microsoft Windows Printing System into Microsoft Windows

3.1or Microsoft Windows for Workgroups 3.1, the Print Manager is enhanced and you can open the Status Window by clicking the printer info button on the toolbar
