Remove the print head unit only when you have a new one available (otherwise your ink tanks may dry out). To remove the used print head unit, follow these steps:

| Open the printer’s cover. |
| Remove the four ink tanks and set them aside for now. |
| Be sure to set them upright on a level surface with their number |
| {labels facing up. |
| Do not remove the print head yet. |

| Press and hold down the FF, PRINT MODE and | buttons and press the |
| POWER button until the printer beeps. This empties the ink from the print | |
