Adding Washer Fluid
When this message is displayed in the message center,
it means the vehicle is low on windshield washer
fluid. You should add more windshield washer fluid
soon. See Low Washer Fluid Warning Message
on page3-46 for more information.
Open the cap with the
washer symbol on it. Add
washer fluid until the
tank is full. See Engine
Compartment Overview on
page5-12 for more
information on location.
Notice:
•Whenusing concentrated washer fluid, follow the
manufacturer’sinstructions for adding water.
•Donot mix water with ready-to-use washer fluid.
Watercan cause the solution to freeze and
damageyour washer fluid tank and other parts of
thewasher system. Also, water does not clean as
wellas washer fluid.
•Fillyour washer fluid tank only three-quarters full
whenit is very cold. This allows for expansion if
freezingoccurs, which could damage the tank if
itis completely full.
•Donot use engine coolant (antifreeze) in your
windshieldwasher. It can damage your washer
systemand paint.
