line of defense that is a combination of firewalls

Typically, the DMZ contains devices accessible to

 

 

Internet traffic, such as Web (HTTP) servers, FTP

 

 

servers, SMTP (e-mail) servers, and domain name

 

 

system (DNS) servers

assigned public IP addresses instead of private IP
