Appendix A Technical Specifications
Power Specifications for the Cisco Nexus 7000 Series Devices
grid. For example, if three power supply units are conne cted to a 110-V grid and a 220-V grid, each
power supply outputs 1.2 kW for the 1 1 0-V gr id and 3.0 kW for the 220-V grid. The available power
would be 3.6 kW (1.2 kW + 1.2 kW + 1.2 kW) and the reserve power would be 9.0 kW (3.0 kW +
3.0 kW + 3.0 kW).
Full redundancy mode—Provides both power-supply redundancy and in put -s ource r edund an cy.
This mode allows you to replace a power supply unit withou t int erru pt ing devi ce opera ti ons or
continue powering the device if one of two grids goes down. T he a va ilable p ower is the l esser
amount of output power for power supply redundancy or input source redundancy.
The amount of power available for use with your Cisco Nexus 7000 Series device depends on the number
of power supply units, input voltage used, and the power mode used. To determine the amount of
available power for 6-kW power supply units, see Tab le A-7. To determine the amount of power
available for 7.5-kW power supply units, see Tab le A-8.
