Following are conventions that might be used in this document.

Description

Commands and keywords are in bold face. Arguments for which you supply values are in italic.

Keywords or arguments that appear within square brackets are optional.

Alternative, mutually exclusive, keywords are grouped in braces and separated by vertical bars.

Represent the key labeled Control . For example, when you read ^D or Ctrl-D, you should hold down the Control key while you press the D key.

Terminal sessions and information the system displays are in screen

font.

Information you must enter is in boldface screen font. Nonprinting characters, such as passwords, appear in angled brackets. Default responses to system prompts are in square brackets.
