Faulty thermal head Replace the thermal

Low DC output voltage
from the AC adapter Check the DC voltage with a DC voltmeter. Supply the specified AC voltage to the AC
adapter.

Foreign substance is
adhered to the thermal

Check whether any for-
eign substances are
adhered to the thermal
head.
Dip a cotton swab or
soft cloth in ethyl alco-
hol and wipe the foreign
substances with them.
Non-recommended pa-
per is used. Check whether the pa- per being used meets
the specification.
Replace it with the
specified paper.
Faint printout or
