Disconnecting f rom a Computer
Disconnect your player as instructed below to preven t data loss or le/rm-
ware corruption.
USB-MTP Mode
If you are usi ng a USB-M TP co nnection, you can si mply di sconnect the
cable from your player.
USB-MSC Mode
Double-click the green ar row in the taskbar
located on the lower-right sid e of the computer
screen (Safely Remove Hardware).
Safely Remove Hardware:
Select “USB Mass Storage D e-
vice” from the list that appear s
and then click on “Stop”.
Stop a Hardware Device:
Select “USB Mass Storage D e-
vice” from the list that appear s
and then click on “OK”.
Select “USB Mass Storage D e-
vice” from the list that appear s
and then click on “OK”.
When th e “Safe t o Remove
Hardware” wind ow app ears,
click the OK b utton and discon-
nect the USB cable from the
player and your computer.
Build Music Libra ry (USB-MS C Mode Only)
After disconnecting fro m a computer, your player wil l take a few moments to
rebuild the music library (le d atabase).
