10.2.13 The Module Types Table

The module_types table shown in Table 10.18, contains descriptions of each of the

module types supported in a given release of the RMS. It is updated by the table

administration program, rmstbladm (see Page5-44), whena new release is installed.

Field Type Description

name char(16) name of the module type

class char(16) class of module (node,network,storage)

units int height of the module in units

cpus int number of CPUs in the module

psus int number of PSUs in the module

fans int number of fans in the module

thermistors int number of thermistors in the module

description text description of the module

The module types supportedin the current release are shown in Table 10.19.

10.2.14 The Nodes Table

The nodes table shown in Table 10.20, contains conﬁguration information on each node

in a machine. The entries are created by the RMS clients rmsbuild and rcontrol.

Fields are updated by rmsd when the node is booted or RMS is restarted and by the
