Removing the Oven Door

To make the range easier to move, remove the door to reduce weight.

warning

Do not attempt to disengage the hinge catches with the door removed from the oven. The hinge springs could release causing personal injury.

Do not lift or carry the oven door by the handle.

1.Open the door to its fully opened position.

2.Using a screwdriver, rotate the catch over the retaining arm on each hinge.

Optional Backguard/Island Trim Installation (Freestanding Model, DR30D[H] Only)

When used, the optional island trim or optional 6 or 9 inch backguard must be installed before sliding the range into place. Install them according to the accompanying installation instructions.

Side Panel Removal on Model DR30DI[H]

Remove the 3 1/4” side panels if both the top and the front of the range will be self-rimmed (see pages 7 and 8). Remove

them before sliding the range into place.

1.Remove the two screws on the side of the range and the one just above the kick panel that hold the side panel in place.

2.To remove, slide the panel toward the back of the range, off of the ball studs.

3. Lift the oven door to about a 15° angle from the vertical position.

4.Hold the door with both hands just below the handle and pull it away from the oven while continuing to lift.
