Replacing the Speaker Cover

CAUTION: Only a certified service technician should perform repairs on your computer. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell™ is not covered by your warranty.
CAUTION: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on your computer).
Removing the Speaker Cover
1.Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.
2.Remove the system board (see Removing the System Board).
3.Remove the display bezel (see Removing the Display Bezel).
4.Remove the speakers (see Removing the Speakers).
5.Remove the seven screws that secure the speaker cover to the chassis.
6.Release the two tabs that secure the speaker cover to the chassis.
7.Lift the speaker cover away from the computer.
NOTE: The appearance of the system board may vary based on your computer model

Replacing the Speaker Cover
1.Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.
2.Secure the two tabs on the speaker cover to the slots on the chassis.
3.Align the screw holes on the speaker cover with the screw holes on the chassis.
4.Replace the seven screws that secure the speaker cover to the chassis.
5.Replace the display bezel (see Replacing the Display Bezel).
