Active Directory
The Active Directory service stores information about all objects on the
computer network and makes this information available for administrators
and users to find and apply. Using the active directory, users can access
resources anywhere on the network with a single logon.
Similarly, administrators have a single point of administration for all objects
on the network which can be viewed in a hierarchical structure. The Active
Directory entry allows you to configure the active directory settings and set
user authentication options. In addition, you can join the active directory to
the domain.
Synchronizing PowerVault NX3500 With the Active Directory Server
If your site uses Active Directory and the PowerVault NX3500 system is part
of the Windows network, synchronize the time clock to the Active Directory
server. See "Synchronizing PowerVault NX3500 With a Local NTP Server" on
page 141.
