Removing the I/O Board

Prerequisites

1Remove the base cover. See "Removing the Base Cover" on page 10.

2Remove the battery. See "Removing the Battery" on page 13.

Procedure

1Disconnect the speaker cable from the I/O board.

2Using the pull tab, disconnect the I/O-board cable from the system board and the I/O-board.

3Remove the screws that secure the I/O board to the palm-rest assembly.

4Lift the I/O board away from the palm-rest assembly.
