Replacing the I/O Board

Procedure

NOTE: Make sure that the power switch is in its default position — moved towards the back of the computer — before replacing the I/O board.

1Align the screw holes on the I/O board with the screw holes on the palm-restassembly.

2Replace the screws that secure the I/O board to the palm-rest assembly.

3Connect the speaker cable to the I/O board.

4Connect the I/O-board cable to the I/O board and the system board.

1Replace the battery. See "Replacing the Battery" on page 14.

2Replace the base cover. See "Replacing the Base Cover" on page 12.
