Connecting a control dock for iPod

Connect a control dock for iPod to the unit to enjoy video and music stored on an iPod.

For a control dock for iPod, use ASD-1R, ASD-11R, ASD-3N, ASD-3W, ASD-51N and ASD-51W made by DENON (sold separately).

For instructions on the control dock for iPod settings, refer to the control dock for iPod’s operating instructions.

Connecting an iPod or USB memory device to the USB Port

You can enjoy music, stored on an iPod or USB memory device.

To connect an iPod to this unit, use the USB cable supplied with the iPod.

Set this to change the digital input connector to which the input source is assigned. “Input Assign” (vpage 46)

You can also connect the iPod you are using directly to the USB port of this unit (vpage 18 “Connecting an iPod or USB memory device to the USB Port”).

When you want to playback a video file stored on an iPod, use a DENON control dock for iPod (ASD-1R, ASD-11R, ASD-3N, ASD-3W, ASD-51N and ASD-51W, sold separately) (vpage 18 “Connecting a control dock for iPod”).

With iPods, playback is possible with iPhone, iPod touch, classic and nano released from the 5th-generation of iPods. For details, check the DENON web site or page 24.

DENON does not guarantee that all USB memory devices will operate or receive power. When using a portable USB connection type HDD of the kind to which an AC adapter can be connected to supply power, use the AC adapter.

NOTE

USB memory devices will not work via a USB hub.

Do not use an extension cable when connecting a USB memory device. This may cause radio interference with other devices.
