Making a Favorites List Active

Note: This works only if you have added channels to the Favorites List. If you have not created any Favorites List, pressing the GUIDE button switches the receiver between the All Chan and All Sub.

Using Timers and Recordings

A timer is your instruction telling the satellite receiver the programs you want to view in the future. For most DVR timers, you select a specific program on a specific channel, and tell the satellite receiver how often you want to record that program.

A recording is the actual program stored for you to watch. DVR recordings are listed in the DVR Events screen, which you can find quickly by pressing DVR on the remote control.

Remember: Most TV programs and films are copyrighted. In some cases, copyright law may apply to private, in-home recording.
