To select the range of signals to extend
The method for extending signals can be selected by t urning the “Super white” sett ing “On” or “Off”.
Settings Function

Procedure
1. Choose “ Screen” from the Adjustment menu, and press .
2. Choose “ Range Extension” from “Screen”, and press .
3. Choose “ Super White” from “Range Extension”, and press .
4. Select “On” or “Of f” with or .
5. Pre ss to exit.
.Attention
• If “R ange Extension” is turned “Of f”, the setting can be change d but the change will not be applied.

To reduce noise
The small noises that occur in da rk images are reduced. Use this function to re duce noise and roughness in
images.
Procedure
1. Choose “ Screen” from the Adjustment menu, and press .
2. Choose “ HDMI Settings” from “Screen”, and press .
3. Choose “ Noise Reduction”, and press .
4. Select “On” or “Of f” with or .
5. Pre ss to exit.
Attention
• Using th e Noise Reduction function may deter iorate ne images.
• For interla ce signals, the setting value ca n be changed but this function doe s not work.
To select how to display interlace signal
The display method can be selected before the interlace signa l is displayed.

To identify video images automatically and converting them to suitable images

Signals of 24 frames or 30 frames per second for im ages such as movies, computer graphics, and animation s
are automatically identied and the most suita ble images are displayed.
Procedure
1. Choose “ Screen” from the Adjustment menu, and press .
2. Choose “ HDMI Settings” from “Screen”, and press .
3. Choose “ Film Detection”, and press .
4. Select “On” or “Of f” with or .
5. Pre ss to exit.
Attention
• If di storted images are displayed whe n “Film Detection” is “On”, set “Film Detection” to “Of f”.
