Troubleshooting – What to check when problems occur

Problem

Possible Cause

Remedy

Poor ice quality (soft or unclear).

Poor incoming water quality.

Ice-making system is dirty.

Consult a qualified plumber to test the water quality and recommend appropriate treatment.

Run unit through automatic clean cycle. See Maintenance.

Unit produces shallow or incomplete cubes, or the ice fill pattern on the evaporator is incomplete.

Low water level.

Check to see that overflow tube is fully seated.

Hot incoming water.

Connect the unit to a cold water supply. See

 

Installation.

Incorrect incoming water

Water pressure must be 20-120 psi.

Unit is not level.

Water leaking from under the unit.

Check to see that storage bin drain opening is free

 

 

 

from obstruction and debris.

If the need for service arises, contact the dealer from whom the unit was purchased. State the Model Number and Serial Number and explain the problem. The Model and Serial Number plate is located inside the unit at the upper right hand corner.
