5.Insert the paper cassette into the printer as far as it will go. The edge of the paper stack extends beyond the front of the printer.
Running the test
1.Make sure the printer is turned off.
2.While holding down the FF (FORM FEED 
) button, turn on the printer. It loads the paper automatically and begins the self test.
The printer prints characters in the current font and character table. If the optional color upgrade kit is installed, the self test is in color. Here is part of a typical self test:
