CD/DVD Printing Problems
Images and text are not centered on the CD/DVD.
Adjust the print position as described on page 51.
Ink smears on the CD/DVD or printing is too light.
Adjust the print density as described on page 53. You can also adjust brightness or contrast, as described on page 45.
Printed CDs or DVDs are dirty.
Clean the roller as described on page 43.

Problems
The printer prints blank pages.
■Make sure your printer is selected in the Print window, or is the active printer in the Macintosh Chooser or Print Center.
■Clean the print head nozzles; see page 57 for instructions.
You see incorrect characters.
■Make sure the interface cable is securely connected at both ends and meets the system requirements on page 87.
■Make sure your printer is selected in the Print window, or is the active printer in the Macintosh Chooser or Print Center.
■If you’re using a switch box or USB hub with your printer, connect the printer directly to your computer instead.
The margins are incorrect.
■Make sure the paper settings are correct for your paper size.
■Place your paper against the right side of the feeder with the edge guide snug against it.
■Make sure the Borderless option is set correctly for your margins; see page 40 for roll paper or pages 18 or 32 for cut sheets.
Image size/position is incorrect.
■Make sure the paper and layout options are set correctly.
