Inserting a Picture with Drag and Drop

You can use this method with any application that supports it—for example, Microsoft® Word 6.0 or PageMaker® 6.0. If you’re not sure, give it a try. If it doesn’t work, you can use the copy and paste or importing method.

Follow these steps to drag and drop a picture into your document:

1Make sure the picture you want to use is showing in the gallery on your screen.

2Start your application.

3Open the document where you want to use the picture. Make sure your screen displays both the document and gallery windows, as shown to the right.

4Drag the picture from the gallery to your document. You see an outline of the picture showing its size on the page.

5Position the outline where you want the picture and release the mouse button. In a few seconds, a copy of the picture appears in your document.
