Installing Option CardsFollow these steps to install an option card:

1.Unpack the option card and adjust any switches or jumpers on it, if necessary. Check the option card instructions and any of the jumper and switch settings you viewed when you ran the System Configuration program. See Chapter 2 for more information.

2.Remove the retaining screw from the top of the metal option slot cover and lift out the slot cover, as shown below.

Keep the screw to secure the option card to the computer. Store the slot cover in a safe place in case you remove the option card later.
