The table below gives examples of valid SIMM configurations you can use in your computer.

Once you have determined where to add SIMMs, follow the instructions below to install them. If you need to remove the four 1MB SIMMs that came with your system, see “Removing Memory Modules” on page 5-15.

Installing Memory Modules

Follow these steps to install SIMMs:

1.If necessary, see the main system board illustration on page 5-2 to locate the SIMM sockets.

2.It is easiest to install the SIMMs in the sockets farthest from the processor board first. Then work your way toward the sockets closest to the processor board.
