Cleaning the Printer
The printer needs only minimal cleaning. If you notice a paper
feeding problem and there is no probelm with your paper, you
may be able to alleviate the problem by cleaning th e paper path
roller as described in this sectio n.

Cleaning the outside of the printer

If the printer’s outer case is dirty or d usty, turn off the printer and
clean it with a soft, clean cloth dampened with a mild detergent.
cCaution:
Never use alcohol or thinner to clean the printer cover; these
chemicals can damage the components and the case. Be careful
not to get water on the printer mechanism or any electronic
components.

Cleaning the paper path roller

If the paper feeding problems occur when you are using the
correct paper, the paper path roller in the paper path unit may be
dirty. Follow the steps below to cle a n the paper path roller:
1. Turn off the printer.
