❏To select an item (setting), press Item. Examples of items
are Paper Size (in the Prin ting menu) or Toner S ave (in
the Config menu).
❏To select a value (parameter) for an item, press Valu e.
Examples of values are A3 (for Paper Size) or On or Off
(for Toner S ave).
❏To accept a new setting, press Enter.
❏Press ALT to select the menus, items o r pa rameters in
reverse order (going back through the list). See Appendix
F for a map showing the order in which SelecType menus,
etc. are displayed.
3. To exit SelecType mode, press OnLine or SelecType.
SelecType menus
This section gives a brief description of the menus in SelecType
and lists the item settings available on each menu.

Test Menu

These settings select and begin the printer’s internal test print.
With a test print, you can obtain informa ti o n o n the printer’s
current settings and available fonts. You should also see “Test
menu” on page 2-14 for further details.
