Parallel menu
This menu allows you to make settings which control the parallel
interface.

Speed

Specifies the transfer speed between the computer and the printer.
It does this by selecting the delay period between the STROBE
and the ACKNLG signal. For mo re information concerning the
signals of the parallel interface, see Appendix A.

Bi-D

Enables or disables bidirectional communication between the
printer and the computer. Make the se tting according to the
parallel port on your computer.
Note:
Your computer’s parallel interface must support bidirectional
communication for this setting to be effective.

Buffer Size

Determines the amount of memory to be us ed for receiving and
printing data. If set to Maximum, more memory is a llocated for
receiving data. If set to Minimum, more memory is a llocated for
printing data. The factory default se tting is Normal.
