Troubleshooting
This chapter explains the error indicators and describes how to clear paper jams and print a self test. For more troubleshooting information, see the Reference Guide. If you cannot resolve the problem using the information in the manuals, see “Where To Get Help” on page 43.
Using the Error Indicators
Use the following table to diagnose printer errors.Light | Beep | Problem | |

| Press the Pause button to resume printing. | |
|

| Move the paper release lever to the correct | |

| position (continuous paper or single sheets) and | |
|
| press the Load/Eject button to clear the paper | |
|
| from the paper path. Then set the lever to the | |
|
| position you want to use. Press the Pause button | |
|
| to turn off the Pause light, if necessary. | |

| Load paper in the printer. Then press the Pause | ||
