Upgradeable firmware — The firmware that controls all switcher operation can be upgraded in the field via RS-232/RS-422 or Ethernet, without taking the switcher out of service. Firmware upgrades are available for download on the Extron Web site, www.extron.com, and can be installed using the Windows-based control/configuration program or the built-in HTML pages.

Labeling — Extron’s included button label software lets you create labels to place in the front panel I/O buttons, with names, alphanumeric characters, or color bitmaps for easy and intuitive input and output selection. Alternatively, labels can be made with any BrotherP-Touchor comparable labeler.
