Figure 2-10 — Powering the Extender board

This outlet is a US-style power outlet on both the US/ domestic and international HSA 200 models. The power output is the same voltage and frequency as the power input and is an acceptable power input to the power supply included with the HSA.

2.

Insert the external power supply (included) output wires

into the 2-pole direct insertion captive screw terminal on

the Extender board (figure 2-11) and secure the wires.

Do not tin the stripped power supply leads. Tinned wires are not as secure in the captive screw terminals and could pull out.

The two power cord wires must be kept separate while the power supply is plugged in. Remove power before continuing.

To verify the polarity before connection, plug in the power supply with no load and check the output with a voltmeter.
