MA Dongle

MA servers require that a USB hardware key (dongle) be installed in a server USB port before the server will operate. Insert the dongle before power up of the server.

The dongle must remain in the USB port for the applications to function.

Hard Drives

MA servers use three high capacity hard drives. How the drives are configured depends on where they are used.

North, Central, and South America

These MA servers have three drives: two 1TB and one 500GB.

The 500GB drive has two virtual drives:

C: (Windows)

Windows XP PRO operating system. Do Not Modify: This Is Not A User Drive.

This drive provides temporary storage of the high-resolution content during the Ingest process. When the MA server verifies that the content is archived on a disc, this content is erased from the drive.

F: (Work)

This is the where the User works. There are five folders:

PXMA-auto-archive

This folder is shared on the network and used by the Auto Watch functions for uploading files from local NLE or ingest stations.

PXMA-local-Copy

This folder is shared on the network and used by the Copy to local folder function for downloading files from the MA server to local NLE systems or shared network storage.

ISO-Files

Folder where the ISO files are generated. On PX-10 they need to be dragged into the burn tool manually, on MA-50 they are stored here temporally until taken into the automated disc burner.

PXMA-auto-archive

This folder is shared on the network and used by the Auto Watch functions for uploading files from local NLE or ingest stations.
