Installing the Servers With theExpress Rail Rackmounting Kit
This appendix provides instructions for installing the servers in an equipment rack
with express (snap-in) rails. The wxpress rail rackmounting kit installs quickly,and
does not require mounting screwsor nuts. The kit and the installation procedures
are the same for both the SPARCEnterprise T5140 and T5240 servers.
Note – If your rackmount kit came with its own instructions, use the instructions in
yourrackmount kit instead of theinstructions in this appendix. After performing the
server installation, proceed to Chapter3 for first-time power on.
Note – The procedures in this appendix are the same for both the 1U and 2U
servers. The illustrations show a 2U server only as an example.
