ÊInstall the server.

INote that the server may be operated in the vertical (see section “Positioning the server vertically” on page 36) or horizontal position (see section “Positioning the server horizontally” on page 39).

VCAUTION!

–The device must be protected from direct sunlight.

–The required minimum distances for operation and maintenance areas must be adhered to.

–The server must be accessible at the rear for connection to other devices (e.g. memory subsystem).

–The mains plug must be accessible easily and safely.

–To ensure sufficient ventilation of the system, a minimum clear distance of 200 mm must be provided at the front and the rear of the server.

ÊWire the server. Follow the instructions in the sections “Connecting devices to the server” on page 40 and “Notes on connecting/disconnecting cables” on page 42.

ÊConnect the server to the mains (see section “Connecting the server to the mains” on page 41).
