„If you are not sure if a dish is microwave-safe, use this test: Place in the oven both the dish you are testing and a glass measuring cup filled with

FXSRIZDWHU³VHWWKHPHDVXULQJFXSHLWKHULQ or next to the dish. Microwave 35–45 seconds at high. If the dish heats, it should not be used for microwaving.

If the dish remains cool and only the water in the cup heats, then the dish is microwave-safe.

„If you use a meat thermometer while cooking, make sure it is safe for use in microwave ovens.

„Do not use recycled paper products. Recycled paper towels, napkins and waxed paper may contain metal flecks which could cause arcing or ignite. Paper products containing nylon or nylon filaments should be avoided, since they may also ignite.

„Some foam trays (like those that meat is packaged on) have a thin strip of metal embedded in the bottom. When microwaved, the metal can burn the floor of the oven or ignite a paper towel.

„Not all plastic wrap is suitable for use in microwave ovens. Check the package for proper use.

„Paper towels, waxed paper and plastic wrap can be used to cover dishes in order to retain moisture and prevent spattering. Be sure to vent plastic wrap so steam can escape.

„Oversized food or oversized metal cookware should not be used in a microwave oven. Electrical shock or fire could occur.

„While paper plates may be used for timed cooking and defrosting, do not use them with Auto Sensor cooking. Use microwave-safe plates or bowls for reheating. Cover with plastic wrap.

„Cookware may become hot because of heat transferred from the heated food. Pot holders may be needed to handle the cookware.

„“Boilable” cooking pouches and tightly closed plastic bags should be slit, pierced or vented as directed by package. If they are not, plastic could burst during or immediately after cooking, possibly resulting in injury. Also, plastic storage containers should be at least partially uncovered because they form a tight seal. When cooking with containers tightly covered with plastic wrap, remove covering carefully and direct steam away from hands and face.

„Use foil only as directed in this manual. TV dinners may be microwaved in foil trays less than 3/4” high; remove the top foil cover and return the tray to the box. When using foil in the microwave oven, keep the foil at least 1 inch away from the sides of the oven.

With a third heating element and a fan that circulates hot air throughout the oven, users can expect consistent results, regardless of the dish being prepared.

Additionally, both models come equipped with a self-cleaning option, making oven maintenance a breeze. This feature simplifies the cleaning process by using high temperatures to burn away food residues, allowing users to spend more time enjoying their meals rather than scrubbing the oven.

For those who appreciate precision in cooking, the GE JKP90 and JTP90 offer a variety of cooking modes, including bake, broil, and specialty settings, allowing users to customize their cooking to suit specific dishes. Another notable characteristic is the implementation of a hidden bake element, which not only maximizes oven capacity but also contributes to easier cleaning.

The easy-to-use digital control panel found on these models enhances the user experience, featuring a large display that provides clear information on cooking settings and timers. Moreover, the ovens include programmable features, like delay bake and a kitchen timer, ensuring that meals can be prepared effortlessly.

Both the JKP90 and JTP90 come with a sleek stainless-steel exterior, offering a modern aesthetic that complements any kitchen décor. Their flush design allows for a seamless integration into cabinetry, providing a sophisticated and stylish appearance.

In summary, the GE Profile Series JKP90 and JTP90 wall ovens represent the perfect combination of technology, design, and functionality.
