Troubleshooting Tips

Review the charts on the following pages first and you may not need to call for service.

	Problem	Possible Causes	What To Do
	Water feels slippery	Absence of hardness	• This is normal.
	after installation of	minerals
	water softening system
	Water softening system	Water softening system	• Does not use much salt
	not using any salt	is a “demand” unit	to regenerate—very
			efficient.
		Possible salt bridge	• See the Care and Cleaning

	Water is blue color	Acidic water in	• Have the water tested
