Be safe - not sorry

Caution: When you a re co ok- ing, keep children away from the vicinity of the hob.

Parts of the appliance may be hot during or imm ediately a fter u se. Allow sufficient time for the hob to cool after switching off.

Never use the appliance for heating a room.

Turn pan hand les to a safe p osi- tion, so they are out of reach of chil- dren, no t ov erhanging the appli-

ance, and ca nnot be cau ght accidentally.

Position pans over the centre of the burners / hotplates. I f positioned off centr e, s maller pans ma y b e unstable.

Keep all flammablematerials ( such as curtains, clothing & f urnishings) away from the hob.

Do not let pan s overhang the con- trol k nobs, as th is ma y overheat and damage them.

Never leave fator oil unattended on a lit hob.

Caution: Wh ere t his ap pliance is installed in a boa t o r cara - van, it shall not b e u sed as a space heater.

Check that al l con trols a re i n the of f position when you have finished cooking.

Ignition

Auto ignition (if fitted):

Push i n and ho ld d own the control knob, and t urn to the full on po sition

(large flame symbol). Keep the knob depressed af ter the b urner h as li t fo r up to 15 seconds to allow the flame to establish. Turn the control knob to the desired setting.

Manual ignition (if fitted):

Push in & hold down the control knob turning to th e f ull on p osition ( large flame symbol) & press the ignition but- ton until the gas lights. Keep the con- trol kn ob d epressed after the burner has lit for up to 15 seconds to allow the flame to establish. Turn the control knob to the desired setting.

In the event of the burner flames being accidentally extinguished, turn off the burner con trol and do not a ttempt to re-ignite the burner for at least 1 minute.

Reduced rate

Turn th e control kn ob to th e small flame symbol.

To switch off

To switch off a h ob b urner, turn the control kn ob cl ockwise to th e “o ff” position.

If the ignition fails

1.Make sure all the controls are in the “off” position, and ch eck there is a spark at the back of the burner when you depress the control knob or press the ignition button.

2.Gas check - check there is gas to the appliance by lighting a burner with a lighted match.

3.Electrical check- if no s park ren ew the 3 ampfuse in the fused spur.
