WATCHING AND RECORDING CABLE TV
■Because of the nature of converter boxes, you cannot watch one Cable TV channel and record another at the same time.
To Watch and Record Cable TV
1 | Turn on the cable box and then set a channel to watch or to record. | |||
Turn on the DVD+VCR and then set the DVD+VCR channel | ||||

| connected to the converter (CH03/04/EXTERNAL INPUT). | ||

| Power on TV and then set the channel connected to the DVD+VCR | ||
|
| (CH03/04/VCR). | ||

2 | Recording while Watching | |||
With the setup described above, the channel selected by the converter | ||||
is displayed on screen. Press [REC] on the DVD+VCR to record the | ||||
|
| channel selected by the converter, or press [REC] repeatedly to set One | ||
|
| Touch Recording (OTR) (see page 25). | ||

TIMER RECORDINGS from Cable TV | ||||

1 | Program VCR. | |||
Follow the instructions on page 26 for setting a Timer Recording. Set | ||||
the DVD+VCR to the channel input from the converter box (CH3, CH4 | ||||
|
| or EXTERNAL INPUT). Enter date and time of the cable program in the | ||
|
| Timer Recording menu. | ||

2 | Set Channel on Converter Box. | |||
Set converter to the cable TV channel you wish to record. | ||||
for example to record CH48, | ||||

| Display CH48 with CONVERTER CHANNEL SELECT button. | ||

3 | Complete Timer Recording. | |||
If you leave the cable box turned on, the DVD+VCR powers on | ||||
automatically and starts recording at the programmed time. |
