FINALISING DVD-R DISC (FINALIZE DISC)

	•	Be sure to use the AC adapter/charger to power the DVD video camera/
Before You Begin		recorder when finalising a DVD-R disc. Finalisation cannot be executed
		using a battery. If the DVD video camera/recorder is turned off during
		finalisation and the finalisation is interrupted, incorrect finalisation will
		result, and at worst, the disc may be damaged.

If you want to play back a DVD-R disc recorded on this DVD video camera/recorder, using a device conforming to 8 cm DVD disc – such as a DVD player, etc. – you must finalise the disc on this DVD video camera/recorder. (See “Terminology”, p. 152)

The date of programme will appear on the menu screen of DVD player as a title.

1 Press the DISC NAVIGATION button.

2 Press the MENU button.

3 Use “Operating Menu” (p. 67) to choose “Finalize Disc” on the “Disc” menu screen, and then press the Abutton.

The disc will be finalised.

5 When finalisation is complete, the Disc Navigation screen of all programmes will appear.

Note:

•	Do not finalise a disc recorded on this DVD video
	camera/recorder using any other device.
•	No recording can be done on any DVD-R disc that
	has been finalised.
•	If the disc in the DVD video camera/recorder has
	already been finalised, you cannot choose “Finalize
	Disc”.
•	The time required to finalise disc that appears on the
	“Finalize Disc” screen is only for reference.

The message showing that the disc is being finalised will appear, and the disc will then be finalised.
