3.8.18 GND AUDIO SUPPRESS(INHIBIT)/ALL MODES INHIBIT DISCRETE

The function of this discrete is controlled by program pin. This discrete always inhibits all audio except for the Windshear warning. If configured to suppress visual the input will also suppress all visuals except for the Windshear warning. If configured to also suppress visuals, activation of this input for more than 60 seconds will always result in the ‘All Modes Inhibit” fault which will cause GPWS and Terrain INOP indications. As a function of selected aircraft type this discrete can also cause the All Modes Inhibit fault after 60 seconds even if it is only configured to suppress audio.

Type: Analog discrete input from a flight deck mounted switch

Signal Status: Audio Suppress enabled or disabled/All Modes Inhibit enable or disable Level 6 Audio readout
