2.2.21 LAMP FORMAT

The EGPWS contains two different caution/warning lamp illumination formats as described below. Lamp Format 1 provides EGPWS warning (red) and caution (amber) alert lamp drive logic such that:

Only a Mode 5 “Glideslope” alert will activate the caution lamp output (amber).

All other alerts (except “windshear” and Mode 6 callouts) will activate the warning lamp output (red).
