Downloading an Operating System (OS)
Using TFTP To Download the OS File
This procedure assumes that:
■An OS file for the switch has been stored on a TFTP server accessible to the switch. (The OS file is typically available from HP’s electronic ser-
■The switch is properly connected to your network and has already been configured with a compatible IP address and subnet mask.
■The TFTP server is accessible to the switch.
Before you use the procedure, do the following:
■Obtain the IP address of the TFTP server in which the OS file has been stored.
■Determine the name of the OS file stored in the TFTP server for the switch (for example, A_01_01.swi).

| screen is the same case as the characters in the OS filenames on the server. | |
| 1. In the console Main Menu, select Download OS to display this screen: | |
