Removal and Replacement Procedures— Small Form Factor (SFF) Chassis
7.18Power Supply
ÅWARNING: Voltage is always present on the system board when the computer is plugged into an active AC outlet. To avoid possible personal injury and damage to the equipment the power cord should be disconnected from the computer and/or the AC outlet before opening the computer.
1.Prepare the computer for disassembly (Section 7.1).
2.Remove the computer cover (Section 7.5).
3.Remove the security clip.
4.Rotate the drive cage upand disconnect the power cables from all of the drives.
5.Disconnect the power cables from the system board.
6.Release the power supply cable from the cable retaining clips on the bottom of the chassis under the drive cage.
7.Disconnect the hood sensor from the system board and remove the sensor from the power supply if required (Section 7.3).
