Depending on where you are in the program, you may have to tap OK several times to exit.

NOTE: At this point, be sure your HP iPAQ is cradled and you have synchronized with your personal computer using ActiveSync.

7.Again verify if you have Internet access on your HP iPAQ by visiting a web site such as www.google.com or www.yahoo.com.

If you still cannot access the Internet, take your HP iPAQ out of the cradle and use a GPRS connection. For details, refer to Chapter 7, in the section ”Creating a GPRS/EDGE Connection.”

Viewing the Main Screen

When you launch GPS Navigation, the main screen displays. Use the main screen to navigate to your destination. Your position displays on the map using your GPS receiver.

IMPORTANT: If your GPS receiver has not yet determined a clear position from the GPS satellites, the main screen displays your last known position. To indicate that your actual position is unknown, the screen will display in black and white instead of the standard colors.

NOTE: If you frequently use your HP iPAQ’s GPS Navigation capability while driving, you could consider connecting the HP iPAQ to your automobile’s power outlet. An Auto adapter for your HP iPAQ can be purchased separately at www.hp.com/go/ipaqaccessories.
