Removal and Replacement Procedures

5.Remove the hard drive by following these steps:

a.Position the computer with the rear panel toward you.

b.Loosen the two PM2.0×6.0 captive screws 1 that secure the hard drive cover to the computer.

c.Lift the right side of the cover 2 and swing it to the left.

d.Remove the hard drive cover.

✎The hard drive cover is included in the Miscellaneous Plastics Kits, spare part numbers 394286-001 (for use on HP Pavilion ze2000 models) and 394287-001 (for use on Compaq Presario M2000 models).
