Using the Embedded Numeric Keypad

The embedded numeric keypad consists of a cluster of 16 keys 1. The character in the upper right corner of each key identifies the keypad function of that key.

The standard keyboard functions of the keys in the keypad are disabled when the keypad is enabled.

Enabling the Numeric Keypad

To enable the keypad, press Fn+num lk 2. The num lock light 3 turns on when the keypad is enabled.

The keypad cannot be enabled while an optional external keyboard or numeric keypad is connected to the notebook.

Disabling the Numeric Keypad

To disable the keypad and return the keys to their standard keyboard functions, press Fn+num lk.
