Connecting a Stereo Speaker or Headphone

When connecting a device to the stereo speaker/headphone jack:

Use only a 3.5-mm stereo plug.

ÅWARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, turn down the volume control before putting on headphones.

ÄCAUTION: To prevent possible damage to an external device, do not plug a single-sound channel (monaural) connector into the stereo speaker/headphone jack.

Connecting a Microphone

When connecting a device to the microphone jack, use an industry-standard PC microphone with a 3.5-mm plug.

Adjusting Volume

To increase, decrease, or mute the system volume, use the following methods:

Notebook volume buttons

To decrease volume, press the left button.

To increase volume, press the right button.
