White ink maintenance

HP White Ink Homogenizer — white inks used in wide-format printing have pigments that have a tendency to settle over time. The printer's white ink option incorporates a vibrating homogenizer base that keeps the white ink pigments in suspension without operator intervention.

Printhead — the automatic printhead servicing (purging and wiping) must be supplemented with manual printhead cleaning, to enable optimal print quality.

Shelf life — the white ink has a maximum shelf life of six months from date of manufacture. Replace the white ink after the Warranty Ends date printed on the box.
